The matches of the inaugural Women's Emerging Asia Cup in Colombo have been rescheduled after back to back wash-outs resulting in four games ending in no decisions. Torrential rain in Colombo has seen not a single bowl being bowled in the four nation competition and now the teams will follow a revamped schedule, Tournament Director Bandula Jayasekara confirmed.

The tournament has been pushed back by two days as a result. The final was originally scheduled to be played on Sunday but now has been rescheduled for Tuesday after a meeting of the Technical Committee.

The two games that were scheduled on Friday will now take place on Saturday with two more games taking place on Sunday and then the two top teams progressing to the final.

Thurstan College grounds in Colombo was one of the venues that was supposed to host games but now those games have been taken to Navy Grounds in Welisara. The excellent drainage system in Welisara was the reason for this venue to be preferred over Thurstan Grounds, organizers said.
