Standard Chartered a London-based, international bank with significant operations in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America was today announced as the Title Sponsor of the Afro-Asia Cup. Their sponsorship will run for all three years of the Event.

“We are delighted that such a landmark tournament, pitting the best cricketers of one continent against another, should receive the imprimatur of such a major global entity”, said Syed Ashraful Huq, Chief Executive of the Asian Cricket Council who are event organisers. “Standard Chartered are a significant presence in Asia and their brand recognition, strong as it is, can only be enhanced by being associated with an event such as the Afro-Asia Cup for the next three years.”
