Hong Kong, China's victory meant Malaysia, who also have two wins after beating Thailand and Bhutan earlier, advanced to the last-four with the two teams set to clash at the Kinrara Oval on Saturday for top spot in Group B and a meeting with Singapore in the semi-finals.

Nepal tallied the highest total of the tournament so far after reaching 326-4 in 50 overs at Kinrara before dismissing Singapore for 109 in 39.1 overs with the two teams already through to the semi-finals, having each beaten China earlier in the three-team Group A.

Rit Gautam ended unbeaten on 115 after sharing a 131-run stand with Khadak Bohara, who was equally impressive with 90 off 90, while Kushal Malla added an unbeaten 51, including 22 from the final over.

Malla then took four wickets for 14 runs as Singapore slumped to 50-6 before launching a mini-revival with a 52-run stand between Hari Kukreja (30) and Chandramauli Sridev (23) but it proved to be a short-lived reprieve.

Hong Kong, China reached 265-9 in 50 overs at the Selangor Turf Club before dismissing a Bhutan side determined to occupy the crease for as long as possible for 95 runs in 43.4 overs.

Bhutan pegged Hong Kong, China back to 97-4 in the 22nd over but Adit Gorawara lashed five boundaries to compile an unbeaten 84 off 108 balls while opener Nasrulla Rana weighed in with 50.

Karma Dorji, who claimed three of the first four Hong Kong, China wickets to fall, finished with four for 27 from 10 overs but Bhutan found the target beyond them as Hong Kong, China bowler Mohammad Hassan picked up three for 18.

Aside from Malaysia taking on Hong Kong, China on Saturday, Thailand and Bhutan square off at the TPCA Oval in Kajang to complete the Group B preliminary fixtures.
