The Unimoni Asia Cup 2018 double-header on Sunday, 23 September, features the second India - Pakistan encounter in Dubai. The winning team is likely to book a spot in the grand final scheduled for 28 September in Dubai.

Afghanistan play Bangladesh on the same day, and the result is crucial for both the teams as it will determine their fate in the rest of the tournament.

Below are details of the results from earlier today

India v Bangladesh at Dubai
INDIA WON BY SEVEN WICKETS
India won the toss and elected to field
Bangladesh: 173 all out off 49.1 overs (M.Hasan 42; R.Jadeja 4-29, B.Kumar 3-32, J.Bumrah 3-37)
India: 174 for 3 off 36.2 overs (R.Sharma 83*, S.Dhawan 40, MS.Dhoni 33)
Man of the Match: Ravindra Jadeja (India)

BANGLADESH CAPTAIN, MASHRAFE MORTAZA

“If you look at the way we lost our wickets, it was not just because of the bowling but also because we kept losing wickets by playing so many rash shots. After losing two wickets maybe we could have created a partnership, and our innings could have taken off. But that didn’t happen. It is very disappointing, but still we are not out of the tournament. We still have two matches left and we have to be positive and find out our mistakes and come back very hard.”

INDIA PLAYER OF THE MATCH, RAVINDRA JADEJA

“Playing for India is a matter of great pride for any player, whether it is playing against Pakistan or any other country. An India Pakistan match is always something that all cricket fans look forward to. I hope it will be a good match, Pakistan is playing well, and we are playing well too. And I hope that this will be an exciting match for all those involved.”
