GROUP D: Malaysia v Maldives at Tudikhel Ground

Darwin Muralitharan

Malaysia proved themselves yet again to be thoroughbred talents by coasting home to a 191-run victory against the Maldives.

Ariffin Ramly (98 not out) and Darwin Muralitharan (an exciting prospect from Penang) shared a 185-run stand fro the fourth wicket which was full of good batsmanship.. On such a big ground, boundaries were hard to hit but the two Malaysians compensated with adroit running and placement.

Muralitharan turned destroyer later on with the ball too, as his cutters snagged five wickets for just five runs.
