Singapore Premier Cup
Singapore Cricket Association is pleased to announce the inaugural Singapore Premier Cup to take place at the Kallang Cricket Ground. The three team event will consist of 50-over competition featuring Singapore’s top High Performance and Elite cricketers. The compositions of the team squads contain a balance of the High Performance and Elite cricketers in each representative team to form Singapore Cricket Association’s top tier domestic competition.

Oman's Standing Army
There’s a line between fun cricket and competitive cricket and its one which needs umpires to maintain. Oman, which has more and more teams (up from 61 to 71 this year) in domestic competitions, including the Seniors league and knock-out events, inter-school tournaments for boys and girls, for a total of more than 350 fixtures this season, needs umpires. Over 50 umpires are currently active in Oman cricket.

Chinese On The Up Down Under
Three of China’s best men’s cricketers are going to be playing in New South Wales for six weeks. They are part of the Cricket NSW Mosaic Programs “International Cricket Exchange”. The purpose of the exchange is to engage in mutually beneficial activities with ICC Affiliate and Associate nations.

Al-Emarat Close To Lift-Off
The long cherished goal for Oman, of having their own full-sized fully-turfed is almost within reach. The Al-Emarat ground on the outskirts of Muscat has already had its central square seeded and turfed and by the middle of 2013, the facility will be complete. “It’s a vital step for Oman if they are to fulfil the requirements for ICC Associate Membership,” says ACC Development Manager Bandula Warnapura.

Kuwait's Umpires Prepare For 2012-2013 Season
As preparation for the new domestic cricket season which starts on September 14, Kuwait Cricket organized a one day Refresher Course for umpires, conducted by local senior umpire Riaz Chaudhry at Kuwait Olympic Committee auditorium.

The course was attended by 44 umpires and scorers. Among the participants were Level II umpires, mid-level umpires, beginners and scorers known to Kuwait Cricket for some years as well as two Egyptians and a Jordanian who “showed same level of enthusiasm as umpires from traditional cricketing nations of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh,” said Kuwait Cricket.

Nepal Win Pepsi ICC WCL Division 4
Nepal won Pepsi ICC ICC World Cricket League Division 4 at the second attempt, having finished third when the event was held in Italy in 2010. This time, in Malaysia, they were unbeaten throughout and trumped USA by eight wickets in the final at Kinrara after bowling out the Americans for 145. It was Nepal’s first ever overseas senior team championship.

Scorers Boxed In
Many of the ACC region’s most prominent scorers have been taken through a rigorous re-education program in Nepal, in the first Scorers Education Program the ACC has ever held. “The purpose of this is to set standards and guidelines for accurate and fast reporting of all the matches played in our member countries,” says ACC Development Manager Bandula Warnapura.
