HRH Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Mohammad Bin Saud Bin Abdulaziz was presented with a signed ICC World Twenty20 2012 bat by ICC Chief Executive David Richardson

Saudi Cricket Centre Patron-in-Chief HRH Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Mohammad Bin Saud Bin Abdulaziz paid a visit to the International Cricket Council offices in Dubai earlier this month. He is the first member of the Saudi royal family to visit the ICC and was accompanied by SCC CEO Nadeem Nadwi and ACC Development Officer for Saudi Arabia Iqbal Sikander as part of the Saudi Cricket Centre's effort to introduce cricket to Saudis in the Kingdom.

HRH Prince Dr. Faisal met ICC Chef Executive David Richardson and was also given a tour of the ICC Global Cricket Academy and was shown the on-site playing and training facilities. Following the cordial meeting with the ICC Chief Executive, HRH Prince Dr. Faisal stayed to watch the Twenty20 International between Pakistan and South Africa at Dubai International Cricket Stadium later that evening.

“Royal patronage is a vital part of sport in the Gulf, I know that the SCC and ICC were honoured by HRH’s visit and the support that his visit gives, symbolically as well as substantially, will play a significant role in helping grow the game in Saudi Arabia,” says Iqbal Sikander.
