WOMEN PAD UP IN THE UAE

The Emirates Cricket Board has confirmed plans to establish a national women's cricket team. They are the only Gulf country yet to do so.
KUWAIT U-19 TO PLAY IN PAKISTAN

Kuwait’s preparations for the ACC U-19 Elite Cup will start with a tour of Pakistan. The squad play matches against Karachi clubs and academy sides during their ten-day tour.
"A TEAM TO BEAT AFRICA"

The selectors for the second Afro-Asia Cup – A.S.M. Farooque (Bangladesh), Chetan Chauhan (India), Mohsin Khan (Pakistan), Lalith Kaluperuma (Sri Lanka) – announced the teams to represent Asia in Dhaka at a packed press conference with Indian and Bangladeshi reporters in attendance.
BHUTAN DOES THE GROUNDWORK

Cricket's spread to the south of Bhutan in recent months has led to the introduction of their first inter-school cricket tournament in Gelephu. The schools of Gelephu and Sarpang district will play between themselves on a freshly resurfaced ground, recently cleared. A square has been dug "and a mixture of red soil and clay" according to the BCCB's curators, has been compacted in preparation for the event. Adjoining nets have also been renovated.
PEACE IN AFGHANISTAN

Afghanistan’s cricket season started this month with a ‘national Grade 1 tournament‘ called PEACE. The tournament was inaugurated by the Afghanistan Cricket President Shahzada Masoud and British Ambassador Stephen Evans – with Mr. Masoud bowling to Mr. Evans (who played a diplomatic forward defensive).
MANUALS FOR ACC LABOUR

The ACC Finance department has issued Finance & Accounting Manual along with an Administrative & Personnel Policies Manual to all member countries. "The Finance Manual is for us to outline to our members the best recommended practices in the area of accounting and financial management. Core functions have been outlined to remove any ambiguity and compliance with the policies will ensure that development funding efficiency is maximised" says ACC Finance Manager Thusith Perera. "The Administrative Manual is set up to codify professionalism in the ACC Secretariat" he continued.
