ASIA CLIMBS THE LADDER

Thanks to their ICC World Cricket League Division 5 win in Jersey, Afghanistan move up to 29th in the ICC global rankings.

Third-placed Nepal go up six places to 31st. Singapore, who were fifth overall, see the biggest rise. They move up eleven places to 33rd in the world.

Both the finalists in Jersey, the hosts and Afghanistan, next play in ICC World Cricket League Division Four in Tanzania in October, where they take on Fiji, Hong Kong, Italy and the hosts.

Oman and the UAE remain the top-ranked ICC non-Test playing nations in Asia. Hong Kong is 25th.
