ACC ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT



The Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Jayantha Dharmadasa, 65, has been elected the ACC's 23rd President. Mr. Dharmadasa takes over from the Board of Control for Cricket in India President Mr. Narayanaswami Srinivasan, who had held the post since 2012. The appointment took place at the ACC's AGM in Kuala Lumpur.

This is the second time Mr. Dharmadasa has become President of the ACC, following his period in office from 2006-2007. “I am honoured to serve as President on behalf of Sri Lanka and will do my best to follow in the footsteps of my predecessor in advancing the cause of Asian cricket,” said the new President.

Dr. John Cribbin, who is the Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong Cricket Association, was appointed the new Vice-President of the ACC.
