During the ACC Annual General Meeting in London last month, Asia’s regional winners in the Pepsi ICC Development Programmes Awards were presented with their trophies by Board of Control for Cricket in India Shashank Manohar.

Best Overall Cricket Development Program was won by the Chinese Cricket Association for whom External Affairs Director Zhang Tian accepted on the award on their behalf. Myanmar Cricket Federation won the Best Cricket Promotion and Marketing award for their feature-length movie Bo Ba, based on Lagaan.

The Cricket Association of Thailand won the Best Women’s Cricket Initiative and Malaysia won the Best Junior Cricket Initiative. Bhutan won the award for Picture of the Year. Singapore Cricket Association President Imran Khwaja was voted Volunteer of the Year and Malaysian Cricket Association President Tunku Imran won the Asian and Global Lifetime Achievement Award, Tunku Imran receiving his global award from ICC President David Morgan.
