ACC TO ASSIST EIGHT BOWLERS REPORTED FOR "SUSPECT ACTIONS"

ACC Trophy Elite 2008 Tournament Director Charlie Chelliah

Following reports received from the on-field umpires, eight bowlers from five countries in the recently concluded ACC Trophy Elite have been flagged by Tournament Director Charlie Chelliah as having "suspect actions".

These bowlers will next undergo two-stages of assessment by means of the naked eye and video analysis by their relevant countries' Development Officers. The player is free to take part in competition until the results of the examinations are comprehensively assessed. If necessary, the relevant bowler will be evaluated by a Human Movement Specialist provided by the ICC prior to final recommendations being made.
