HONG KONG WINS IN GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT

Hong Kong have won for Best Cricket Promotional and Marketing at the 2007 ICC Development Program Annual Awards for their annual Cricket Sixes. The event has been held since 1992 and last year's was the most successful ever, featuring an All-Star Team captained by Shane Warne, which included Brian Lara, Anil Kumble, Glen McGrath, Heath Streak, Craig McMillan and Geraint Jones. The All-Stars were beaten in the Final however, by Sri Lanka.

Last year's event was the biggest ever, grossing well over HK$5 million, the bulk of which will be ploughed straight back into domestic cricket development programs.
