“The ACC will do all it can to educate and train people from all over the Asian region. 2009 has been identified as the year to implement more junior and school cricket structures in all of our member countries. If countries already have the structure in place, our aim would be to add quality to it. The ACC Development Officers will be working and keeping a close eye on this system’s progress throughout the year. Participants who perform well in ACC coaching, curator and umpiring courses are given the incentive to be sent over to Test-playing countries to better their skills and learn from the best in the Asian region.”

“The ACC is looking to appoint coaching and umpiring educators to conduct basic level courses in their own countries. This will help us to broaden the base of cricketing knowledge in the respective countries.”
